Kolkata, July 1 (IBNS): A popular television channel Akash Aath Bangla will beam a new story starting July 1 under the category called 'Chhoy Masher Mega', where each story runs for six months.

This mega series focuses on contemporary social problems said Eshita  Surana, Director, Aakash Aath, at a recently held event where the cast and crew of the mega serial were introduced.

The cast and crew members include Bhaskar Banerjee, Priyanshu Das, Rana Mitra, Pinky Banerjee, Somjita Bhattacharyya, Debosree Roy,  Aishani Dey and  Raj Bhattacharyya.

The latest story, directed by Robin Das, is titled 'Ek Je Chhilo Khoka' and focuses on child labour.

The story traces the journey of protagonist Ashiq (played by Priyanshu Das), who began life as a child labour to help his family.

Said Director Robin Das, "Child labour is a crime, we all know that. But Ashiq or Khoka is a child labour, being forced to earn a living for his poor family, especially after the death of his father. We want the viewers to think about how child labour can be eradicated from society."
