Sui Dhaaga collects Rs 77.50 cr at box office

Mumbai, Oct 15 (IBNS): Hindi film Sui Dhaaga has collected Rs 77.50 crore so far at the Indian box office.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#SuiDhaaga [Week 3] Fri 30 lakhs, Sat 60 lakhs, Sun 80 lakhs. Total: ₹ 77.50 cr. India biz... 400 screens in Week 3. #SuiDhaaga biz at a glance... Week 1: ₹ 62.50 cr Week 2: ₹ 13.30 cr Weekend 3: ₹ 1.70 cr Total: ₹ 77.50 cr India biz."

The film stars Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles.

The movie has brought together National Award winning producer-director combo of Maneesh Sharma and Sharat Katariya after their blockbuster Dum Laga Ke Haisha.

The film resonates Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Make In India scheme, which was launched in 2014.

Sui Dhaaga has hit the big screens on Sept 28.
