Kolkata/IBNS: After ‘Mishawr Rawhoshyo’ and ‘Yeti Obhijaan’, the successful trio comprising of Srijit Mukherji, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Aryann Bhowmick get together once again to present the third film of the Kakababu franchise.

After receiving an overwhelming response from the teaser, which was released last year, the trailer of ‘Kakababur Protyaborton’ has been released on Friday and is now up on SVF’s social media platforms. The film is all set to hit the big screens on Feb 4.

This time the thrilling adventure of Kakababu and Santu takes place in the exotic jungles of Africa.

Based on Sunil Gangopadhyay’s ‘Jongoler Modhye Ek Hotel’, ‘Kakababur Protyaborton’ is directed by Srijit Mukherji and star the very popular Kakababu-Santu pair of Prosenjit Chatterjee and Aryann Bhowmick along with the versatile Anirban Chakrabarti in the lead.

We have seen before Kakababu and Santu’s adventure of unearthing a fortune in the pyramids of Egypt and the duo’s quest to Gorokhshep Plateau revealing the truth behind the incidents revolving around the attacks of a giant beast. This time we will see the iconic duo travelling across the terrains of Kenya to unravel the mystery behind disappearing tourists amid African jungles.

Excited to bring back the third installment of Kakababu franchise, two times National Award-winning filmmaker Srijit Mukherji said, “Kakababur Protyaborton is an adventure trip to the jungles of Africa.  This time, Kakababu, along with Santu, reaches Kenya for a night’s stay before their trip the great Masai Mara Game Reserve and a string of thrill starts from there. Alongside the story, the USP about Kakababur Protyaborton is the amazing location that the film has been shot in."

"I am sure the audience will get to witness the extravaganza of Africa’s wildlife through this film. All the films of Kakababu have been very close to my heart and its always a pleasure to work with Bumba-da. I am extremely thankful to the entire cast and crew of Kakababu for being so supportive throughout. Although we had challenges of filming wild animals, shooting this film didn’t feel like a pressure at all as we had tremendous fun on sets while experiencing the beauty of African jungles,” Mukherji said.

The music of ‘Kakababur Protyaborton’ is composed by Indraadip Dasgupta while the lyrics are written by the very talented Srijato.

Optimistic about the much-awaited adventure film, Mahendra Soni, Co-Founder & Director, SVF said, “Kakababur Protyaborton will undoubtedly be one of the biggest regional releases in 2022. We have received a remarkable response for the teaser which was released previous year and the first two has been so well received that I can already imagine the audience’s excitement to watch the third one on the big screen. I hope the thrilling adventures of Kakababu, and Santu combined with the larger-than-life visuals of Africa’s wildlife in the film will remain as a memorable experience in the minds of the audience for a long time.”
