Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has suffered an injury while shooting for his next film, King, and he has been advised to rest for a month, media reports said.

As per a report by Hindustan Times, Shah Rukh suffered the injury while shooting an intense scene from the film in Mumbai.

The 59-year-old travelled to the United States for treatment. He has been asked to resume shooting after the rest with caution.

However, the injury was more muscular and not a very serious one.

Shah Rukh, who made a strong comeback into the box office in 2023 with three consecutive superhits, spent the entire 2024 without a release.

King, which is expected to release in the last quarter of 2026, features Abhishek Bachchan, SRK's daughter Suhana Khan, Abhay Verma, Arshad Warsi and Jaideep Ahlawat.

Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone will reunite with SRK in the Siddharth Anand directorial film, where the 'Pathaan' actress will feature in a role which will be more than a cameo.
