Rekha to send across a strong message in 'Super Nani'

Mumbai, Oct 30 (IBNS) Bollywood diva Rekha will be seen making her comeback to the silver screen with Indra Kumar's 'Super Nani', which deals with women empowerment and director Indra Kumar claims that Rekha was the only actress who could have pulled this off.

Talking about his film, Indra Kumar, who claims that Rekha was the first and only choice for the role, said, “Rekha is evergreen and there is no one who could have played the title role better. It is tailor-made for her. This film is a family entertainer with drama, comedy, emotions and above all, it's about respecting women.”

 

Co-producer Ashok Thakeria, who is all praise for Rekha, adds, “Rekha has carried this powerful message on her shoulders and is sure to win hearts.”

 

On her part, Rekha, who will essay the role of a family matriarch, says, “A woman should never be underestimated. I believe every woman is unique. I am fortunate to have enacted this inspiring and powerful role that portrays such strong emotions. And it gives me even more happiness to have done it under the direction of an experienced hand like Indra Kumar, who knows the pulse of the audiences." 

 

Presented by Bharat Shah, produced by Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria and directed by Indra Kumar, ‘Super Nani’, which also stars Sharman Joshi, Shweta Kumar, Anupam Kher and Randhir Kapoor, is slated to release this weekend.
