Sentimentaaal, which was earlier titled as Mentaaal until it was changed, is set to be a mainstream film, which is rare in the Bengali film industry in recent times.

Apart from Yash and Nussrat, a Tollywood power couple, the film features Sayantani Ghosh in a significant role while politician Madan Mitra comes up as a surprise in the trailer.
