Priyanka Chopra picks up a boxing fight on Twitter!
Mumbai, Sept 11 (IBNS): How many of you wanted to play a boxing match yourself after watching the movie Mary Kom? Most of us did, and now we have the chance to do it!
Based on the positive response to the movie and the rising interest in boxing, here’s presenting an all new Twitter war: Mary Kom Twitter Bout! This is India’s first boxing match on Twitter that will be hosted on Twitter for three consecutive days starting tomorrow, 11th September, and will go on for an hour every day.
Priyanka Chopra will be spear-heading the campaign by announcing the hashtags for the day for all the three days. #WomenCanDrive v/s #WomenCannotDrive are the hashtags for tomorrow’s match that will begin sharp at 11am and will continue till 12noon. New topics as hash tags will be revealed every day by Priyanka and the hashtags with the most number of tweets and re-tweets will be announced as the winning sentiment of the day.
This activity will involve Twitter users from across the country discussing three separate gender stereotypes, and participants have to share their opinions in accordance to the topic they agree or disagree with. Each tweet using the hashtag will carry 10 points and a re-tweet, 5 points.
Similar to that of boxing, the objective of the participants here is to win the championship by being the most influential and consistent contestant. Most interesting tweets will be chosen from each bout, and a video displaying the sentiments of the day and people’s opinions will be put up at the end of every day. Ten lucky winners will be announced at the end of the third day and get exciting prizes. The 1st lucky winner will get a smartphone, 2nd & 3rd will get a signed movie poster and movie tickets, and 7 winners will get couple movie tickets.
