The spine-chilling intricacies of the double murder case left him overwhelmed. The film that also stars Irrfan and Konkona Sensharma, showcases three detailed investigations.
To get under the skin of his character, Neeraj researched the case in depth and read practically everything that was recorded on it.
As he learnt more about what happened on that fateful night and the different versions that came out during investigation, he fathomed the shock and turmoil of a father who is trapped in such a situation. While shooting, the actor would often be in tears.
