Mahesh Bhatt, Resul Pookutty praise 'Rang Rasiya'

Many celebrities like Sunidhi Chauhan, Mahesh Bhatt, Rahul Bose, Atul Kasbekar and Resul Pookutty came out in support of the movie. Also, present for the screening were members of the Rang Rasiya cast Randeep Hooda, Nandana Sen, Feryna Wazheir and director Ketan Mehta. The film has been received very well at film festivals at London and Chicago where it was also voted as the favourite film.

‘Rang Rasiya’ has received standing ovations from critics and fellow Bollywood veterans for its apt portrayal of India’s prominent painter Raja Ravi Varma. It has been getting rave reviews from critics! The chemistry between Randeep and Nandana has been greatly appreciated and the actors have brought the painter back to life on celluloid.

Well known director Mahesh Bhatt praised the film saying, “Ketan's Rang Rasiya dares to take on the forces which try to cage the human spirit. The film is a masterpiece and a visual treat; it flows like a celluloid poem!” He also praised actors Randeep and Nandana for their performance.

Oscar winning Indian sound designer Resul Pookutty said, “Rang Rasiya is a celebration of art, life and cinema. It is the most uplifting film in the recent past. Kudos to Ketan, Deepa and the entire team of Rang Rasiya.”

Presented by Jayantilal Gada (Pen), Rang Rasiya is directed by Ketan Mehta, produced by Deepa Sahi and Aanand Mahendroo. It stars Randeep Hooda, Nandana Sen and newcomer Triptha Parashar in lead roles. ‘Rang Rasiya’ is set to release on November 7, 2014.
