Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone and her actor husband Ranveer Singh were among the tinseltown power couples to cast their votes in Mumbai in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections on Monday.

Joined by her husband, Deepika, who is expecting her first child, was spotted holding her baby bump as she entered the polling booth.

After casting votes when the couple were heading for their vehicle, Ranveer was protective of Deepika and ensured she got seated into the car safely.

Post their voting, the couple headed for a lunch date and the videos went viral on social media.

The couple are expecting their first child in September 2024.

Deepika, now 38, got married to Ranveer in 2018 after several years of dating.

Speaking on children to Vogue Singapore, Deepika earlier said the couple love children.

In the interview published in January 2024, she said, "Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family."
