Little difference between small and big screen acting : Vikram

Kolkata, June 16 (IBNS) Having done a string of Bengali films opposite Paoli Dam and Parno Mitra, new reality show sensation Vikram Chatterjee now is all set to explore the small screen fiction format after a rather long break.

“My career is now on another plateau   And I am relishing every single moment of it,” Vikarm says on the sets of Ichhe Nodi, a story of human drama from the makers of telly blockbuster Isthikutum.

The 27-year old actor,  in national news recently for having made to final round of Anurag  Basu-Sonali Bendre-Vijay Krishna Acharya judged show 'India’s Best Cinestar Ki Khoj', recalls he is always rooted by the TV audience be it getting votes for Bigg Boss (Bangla)  or the more recent acting talent hunt at national level - both in non-fiction format .

The audience-backed ‘Raja’ in a mega serial, who was later cast opposite Paoli Dam  in ‘Elar Char Adhyay’ or just released ‘Ajana
Batas’, sees no difference between serial acting and feature film acting.

“In both you are giving shots for hours, you give expressions and you get into the skin of characters. Both demand intensity and you will be rejected if the audience backs out. I don’t find any great difference,” he says.

Vikram. the second runner-up of 'India’s Best Cinestar Ki Khoj' had also done a couple of days' shoot for ‘Doli Armaanon Ki’ fiction drama which consisted of a host of veteran actors.

“After this, Star Jalsha now brings me back to the Bengali fiction yet again. And with no film offers to choose from immediately let me enjoy the second stint with the telly. I hope the audiences will enjoy my character and the twist in the love story as visualized by Saibal
Banerjee,” the "Aami Aar Aamaar Girlfriends" actor says.

“I am also privileged to be part of a small screen project where the music scape is weaved by none other than Debojyoti Mishra. Not many telly soaps have classical music as background score,” he says.
