Kolkata: Poster release of upcoming Bengali film Baranda

Kolkata, May 29 (IBNS): Director Reshmi Mitra unveiled the first poster of her upcoming film 'Baranda', starring Bratya Basu, Rituparna Sengupta, Saheb Bhattacharya, recently at Park Plaza in Kolkata.

The film Baranda (The Balcony) is based on a novel by noted writer Moti Nandi.

Here, the characters wait lifelong in the balcony of life.

"The film speaks about the life of ordinary people, people who are not affected by any social or political changes.

Also the view of North Kolkata itself becomes a character in this film," said director Reshmi Mitra.

The film has already gone to Dallas and London film festivals. It is being marketed globally.

The music and background score is done by Raja Narayan Deb. Cinematography is by Badal Sarkar.

The screenplay and dialogues are by Moloy Bandopadhyay and Reshmi Mitra.

Actors like Rituparna Sengupta, Sreela Majumdar and Atashi were also there in this event.

The film is going to hit the screen very soon.
