Koffee With Karan: Alia Bhatt reveals Sidharth Malhotra gave her 'first love of life' Edward
Bollywood star Alia Bhatt made her debut as a lead actor with the 2012 Hindi film 'Student of the Year', alongside Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra, who appeared onscreen for the first time featuring in the Karan Johar directorial project.
Eleven years since then, Varun and Sidharth, who are now one of the A-listers in Bollywood, were the guests in the recent episode of Karan's chat show 'Koffee With Karan', which entered in its eighth season.
Alia, who has tasted an overwhelming success over the last 11 years, was present virtually in the episode to send her message for the duo.
In the course of her message, the National Award-winning actress revealed she was gifted her cat Edward by Sidharth, whom she had briefly dated.
Amidst her praises for Sidharth, who is now married to actress Kiara Advani, Alia said, "Sid is actually a really good singer. He is a very healthy person, so he doesn't party at all, but he is the best person to get a party started, so this is the inherent Punjabi in him. He just knows how to get people going, he's really good..."
"I am very thankful to Sid, because he has given my first love of my life, Edward," she added.
After 'Student of the Year', Alia, who is married to Ranbir Kapoor with whom she has a daughter, starred alongside Sidharth in 'Kapoor & Sons', which hit the theatres in 2016.
On the work front, Alia was last seen in Karan's directorial comeback film 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', which co-starred Ranveer Singh. The film went on to become a blockbuster.
