Kiku Sharda arrested for mimicking Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, sent to 14-day custody

Mumbai, Jan 13 (IBNS): Comedian Kiku Sharda has been sent to 14-day judicial custody in a case related to hurting religious sentiments.

The actor was arrested after he mimicked Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in a TV show which allegedly hurt religious sentiments.

The followers of the sect head of Dera Sacha Sauda filed a complaint against him.

The comedian had reportedly mimicked Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim  in an episode of ‘Comedy Night With Kapil’ on Dec 27.

The Haryana Police arrested Sharda from Mumbai.
