'Kaanta Laga' girl Shefali Jariwala dies due to 'cardiac arrest' at 42

Actress Shefali Jariwala, who is known as the 'Kaanta Laga girl' for her appearance in a popular item number, died in Mumbai on Friday.

According to reports, Jariwala died due to cardiac arrest.

She was 42.

She was rushed to a hospital where she was declared dead.

Her body was later shifted to Cooper Hospital around 12:30 am for postmortem.

According to the Assistant Medical Officer (AMO) at Cooper Hospital, the body was brought from another hospital, and the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the postmortem report, India Today reported.

Mumbai Police rushed to her residence in Andheri for investigation.

Shefali Jariwala is known for the music video Kaanta Laga.

She participated in the dance reality shows Nach Baliye 5 and Nach Baliye 7 along with Parag Tyagi.

In 2019, she participated in Bigg Boss 13.
