'Jawan': 'Overwhelmed' Shah Rukh Khan thanks fans for 'loving' his film

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has thanked his countless fans who rushed to the theatres to watch 'Jawan' on the opening day on Thursday.

Shah Rukh in a post on X says, "Wow have to take time out and thank each and every Fan Club and all of you who have gone so happily in the theatres and even outside. So overwhelmed will surely do the needful as soon as I get my breath back in a day or so. Uff!! Love u for loving #Jawan."

As it was expected going by the advance booking trends, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' led theatres houses in various cities packed with the actor's countless fans not giving a chance to miss the opening shows.

Fans gathered from early morning, as early as around 5:35 am, in halls to witness Shah Rukh's magic at 57.

Videos, which went viral on social media since morning, show fans dancing to the 'Jawan' songs inside the halls across the cities.

As per reports, the film is set to collect over Rs. 50 crore in advance booking, which started seven days prior to the release date (September 7).

Alongside SRK, the film stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles.

SRK, who plays a former soldier in the film, is seen in the trailer hijacking a metro while Vijay's never-seen-before avatar is explored.

Besides a few romantic sequences between SRK and Nayanthara, the viewers can't miss superstar Deepika Padukone- who plays a cameo- in the trailer.

'Jawan', which is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, is released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
