International Extravaganza - Ferriswheel'sWorldfest is Back

Mumbai, Nov 21 (IBNS): Ferriswheel Entertainment's international performing festival –Worldfest, after successfully exhilarating over 75,000+ audiences over the past 2 years is back to take India by storm this winter.

With elaborate performances from different countries, a colourful mixture of arts, dance, music, this year’s edition promises to be bigger and better. Worldfest 2014, supported by MTDC, will be held in Lavasa from Dec 17 to 21. It will witness participation from countries like Brazil, Egypt, Ethiopia, Israel, Lithuania, Maldives, Nigeria, Poland,   Slovenia, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

Founder and Creative Director of Ferriswheel and the brain behind conceptualizing Worldfest, Ms. Shubhra Bhardwaj said, “Through Worldfest we aim to build a community of enthusiastic travelers who are aware, intrigued and want to go that extra mile to connect with like-minded people everywhere."

"We want Worldfest to be a meeting point for the travelers in India and its neighboring countries to come together and experience the diversities that various countries have to offer, share their ideas and know each other through their culture. The festival takes Globalization to the next level and it is our vision to see every country participate and bring Mumbai/Lavasa on the global map, a place where countries and cultures converge. Further, when any country or city hosts a festival like this, it is looked upon as tourist-friendly, safe destination which has a community outreach. The theme for 2011 Worldfest was Today’s friendship for Tomorrow’s peace and saw countries like Indonesia, Poland, Spain and Turkey being an active part of the grand festival. Performers delivered mesmerising performances in the past showcasing the traditions of their country.

In 2012, Worldfest turned bigger with countries like Italy, Romania, Japan, Sri Lanka, Serbia, exhibiting their culture and food. The event was the talk of the town with every media and social networking platforms speaking about the same. In 2012, Serbian classical ballet ‘Simyonov’, represented the richness of folklore in a bold and powerful style.


Starting from 17th December, Worldfest 2014 will be on roll for 5 exciting days. Here’s why you should attend:
