Mumbai/IBNS: The makers of 'Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story' on Wednesday unveiled the film's first-look poster featuring actor Rajkummar Rao, coinciding with cricket legend Sourav Ganguly's 54th birthday.

The poster recreates one of the most iconic moments in Indian cricket history, with Rajkummar Rao portraying Ganguly waving his jersey from the Lord's balcony after India's memorable NatWest Trophy triumph over England in 2002.

The celebration has long been regarded as a defining image of Indian cricket, symbolising the fearless, aggressive approach ushered in under Ganguly's leadership. It continues to stand as an enduring emblem of confidence, defiance and belief.

The biopic chronicles the extraordinary journey of the former India captain, who transformed Indian cricket in the early 2000s.

It traces Ganguly's rise from a promising young cricketer to one of the country's most influential captains, highlighting the grit, resilience and conviction that reshaped Indian cricket and inspired an entire generation.

'Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story' is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, T-Series and DBL, and is a Luv Films production.

The biopic is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on May 14, 2027.
