Mumbai: Actor Kushagra Dua, who is currently part of the team Ahmedabad Lions in the ongoing season of Actors Cricket League, founded by Dilip Agrawal, says that he has always dreamed of becoming a cricketer.

“I’ve been playing cricket since my childhood and like everyone, even I have always wanted to become a cricketer. I joined classes and played at interzonal and zone level as well. Then, after coming to Mumbai, I got a chance to play in BCL with a smiley ball. For me, it’s my first year where I am playing with a season ball. Before this I’ve played BCL, with the other ball,” he says.

The actor adds that for a game to be fun, competition is required. “There will always be competition and as a sports person you need to have that passion of making your team win. So, competition always helps,” he says, adding, “I like good healthy competition among the team and may the best team win. We would love to work hard and practice harder so let’s see. Also, I was really looking forward to meeting Dilip Agrawal.”

Ask him who he likes to see play, and he says, “My favourites are Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant. I like Virat Kohli’s technique, his calm on the field, his patience and, as for Rishabh Pant, I like his aggressive nature.”

Meanwhile, the actor is looking forward to the upcoming season of IPL. “IPL is coming and two more teams have been added so I’m excited. I’ve been watching the IPL for the past I don’t how many years. I’m waiting for the new teams and then I will decide about which one to support. Delhi and Chennai have always been my favourite.”
