Doordarshan to telecast Ramayan from tomorrow amid nationwide lockdown

New Delhi/IBNS: At a time the country is completely locked down to stop the spread of COVID-19, national television channel Doordarshan will once again telecast epic Ramayan from Saturday.

Ramayan will be shown on DD National two times a day, 9 am and 9 pm.

"Responding to the demands made by the viewers, the telecast of Ramayan will once again start from Saturday. The first episode will be telecast at 9 am and the second one at 9 pm," a tweet put up by DD National read.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced a 21-day nationwide lockdown to stop the spread of the deadly virus.

So far in India, at least 624 people have been infected while 17 people have lost their lives in Coronavirus.
