Kolkata/IBNS: The entire process to select an attire for a wedding night might be hectic and confusing for many but not for Tollywood actor-MP Nusrat Jahan at least.

What to wear at a wedding ceremony in a hurry? Nusrat is sure of it as much as she is in her film career.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of Shaadi by Marriott Bonvoy in Kolkata last Sunday, Nusrat said, "I will just wear a saree if I have to attend a wedding in a short time because that is the easiest for me.

"The designed outfits look great but it's also tough to carry them. Of course the brides will wear such clothes but me as a guest will opt for a saree."

Nusrat was one of the showstoppers at the third East India edition of Shaadi by Marriott, which was held at Ozone Convention Centre in Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata.

After walking the ramp wearing bridal fashion designer Pallavi Poddar's outfit complimented by vermillion on her forehead, Nusrat said, "Shaadi By Marriott is a big brand where attires of stunning designers are showcased. I was happy to be a part of it.

"I love to dress up and walk the ramp because I get to see my audience, show them the lovely clothes that the designers have worked on for so many months. So it is always a different experience."

On staying fit, Nusrat feels there is no magic pill.

"There is no mystery to fitness. A lot of hard work is behind it. Nothing can happen overnight.

"Everyone must remain fit because it helps in the long run driving away the health hazards. Yes, I worked hard for my fitness," the 32-year-old actor said.

Along with Nusrat, actors Richa Sharma, Priyanka Rati Pal, Darshana Banik and Ravi Shaw were the showstoppers.

Poddar had launched The Saaz Collection, which had a combination of sarees, cocktail gowns and bridal lehengas complemented by an opulent menswear collection from eminent fashion designer Ratul Sood's label Burlingtons of Calcutta.

Speaking on the occasion, Abhishek Sachdev, hotel manager, Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata said, "It was an absolute delight to bring Shaadi by Marriott Bonvoy back to Kolkata.

"The hotel's team of wedding specialists planned this extravaganza with fitnesse and successfully brought all aspects of a dream wedding together under one roof."
