'CID' actor Dinesh Phadnis passes away

Mumbai/IBNS: Actor Dinesh Phadnis, who was known for playing Fredericks in television show 'CID', passed away at midnight, media reports said.

He was 57.

Phadnis' death was confirmed by his actor friend Aditya Srivastava.

Reportedly, he died of liver damage. He suffered multiple organ failure.

The actor's last rites were conducted at Borivali East here at 10:30 am.

Apart from playing an Inspector in the longest running TV show, Phadnis also featured in Hindi films 'Sarfarosh', 'Super 30'.
