Bengali musician Anupam Roy marries singer Prashmita Paul
Kolkata/IBNS: Bengali musician Anupam Roy tied the nuptial knot with singer Prashmita Paul on Saturday.
Anupam shared a picture with Prashmita on his Instagram profile.
Anupam's caption in Bengali can be loosely translated as, "Anew."
Reportedly, the duo started dating after knowing each other for a long time professionally.
Anupam was previously married to Piya Chakraborty, who has recently tied the nuptial knot with actor-director-producer Parambrata Chattopadhyay.
Anupam and Piya parted their ways in 2021 after being married for six years.
Anupam, 41, came to limelight with his soundtrack in 2010 Bengali film Autograph and then went on to work in Baishe Srabon in the following year.
Following the initial success, Anupam went on to work in several films including Hemlock Society, Chotushkone, Uma, Dwitiyo Purush.
Among his hit songs are Amake Amar Moto Thakte Dao, Ekbar Bol Nei, Ekhon Onek Raat et al.
His won the National Award for best lyrics song the song Tumi Jaake Bhalobasho from Prosenjit Chatterjee-Rituparna Sengupta starrer Praktan.
Anupam has also worked in several Hindi films including Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan starrer Piku.
