Veteran superstar Amitabh Bachchan is beaming with pride as his grandson Agastya Nanda prepares to make his big-screen debut in Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming war drama, Ikkis.

The much-awaited trailer, unveiled earlier on Wednesday, has already garnered widespread appreciation from fans and film critics alike.

Soon after the trailer release, Big B shared an emotional post on X, recalling Agastya’s early years and expressing his joy at seeing him begin his cinematic journey.

“Agastya! I held you in my hands when you were born... a few months later, your tiny fingers reached out to play with my beard. TODAY, you play in theatres across the world. You are SPECIAL. All my prayers and blessings to you — may you always bring pride to your work and to the family,” the 82-year-old actor wrote.

The touching message struck a chord with fans, who flooded the comments section with love and good wishes for the debutant.

Agastya’s father, industrialist Nikhil Nanda, also shared his emotions on Facebook after watching the trailer.

“Some moments make you proud beyond words. Watching the trailer of Ikkis filled me with immense pride — both as a father and as an Indian. Agastya’s portrayal of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal (PVC) is a heartfelt tribute to courage and the spirit of our nation,” he wrote, extending his wishes to Agastya, Sriram Raghavan, and the entire team.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sriram Raghavan and produced by Maddock Films, Ikkis features a powerful ensemble cast including Agastya Nanda, Dharmendra, and Jaideep Ahlawat.

The film tells the heroic true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, one of India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardees, who displayed extraordinary bravery during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

Ikkis is slated to hit theatres in December 2025.
