Ajay Devgn sends 'best wishes' to Prosenjit Chatterjee starrer Srijit Mukherji's 'Dawshom Awbotaar'
Mumbai/Kolkata/IBNS: Bollywood veteran Ajay Devgn, who is known for playing a popular onscreen cop in the ‘Singham' franchise, has cheered for filmmaker Srijit Mukherji's upcoming Bengali cop universe 'Dawshom Awbotaar', which stars Tollywood superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee in the lead.
Tagging the lead cast with a special message for Prosenjit, Ajay posted on X, "Shubho Mahalaya! Presenting #DawshomAwbotaar, the original Bengali Cop Universe! Best wishes from #Singham to #Probir. In cinemas 19th October."

Srijit has brought his two distinct cop films 'Baishe Srabon' and 'Vinci Da' to construct 'cop universe', 'Dawshom Awbotaar', which features Prosenjit Chatterjee, Anirban Bhattacharya, Jisshu U Sengupta and Jaya Ahsan in the lead.
In the trailer, which comprises murder, investigation, love and humour, Prabir Roychowdhury (Prosenjit's character in 'Baishe Srabon') joins hands with Bijoy Poddar (Anirban's character in 'Vinci Da') with a task to solve a serial murder happening in Kolkata.
The trailer begins with a journalist saying, "This is the third consecutive murder in Kolkata and police have no answers."
Though Prabir is considered the "best person" to solve the case, he gets assistance from Inspector Poddar.
Jisshu U Sengupta, who seems to be a surprise for the audience in theatres, is likely to play a pivotal role in the plot which also features Bangladeshi actress Jaya Ahsan.
The film, which is produced by Jio Studios and SVF, will hit the theatres on October 19.
