RAMALLAH, March 11, 2019 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas (R) meets with Mohammed Shtayyeh after appointing him as new prime minister in the West Bank City of Ramallah, March 10, 2019. Mohammad Shtayyeh expressed hope on Sunday to form his government soon through his consultations with Palestinian factions as well as social and political powers, official Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported.

BAGHDAD, March 11, 2019 (Xinhua) -- Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Hakim (R) shakes hands with his Iranian counterpart Mohammed Javad Zarif in Baghdad, Iraq, on March 10, 2019. Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Hakim said on Sunday that Iraq is looking forward to boosting ties and promoting cooperation in various fields with neighboring Iran. Al-Hakims comments came during his meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mohammed Javad Zarif, who is in Iraq to prepare for the visit of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Monday.
