Youth arrested for selling banned lottery tickets in Puducherry

Puducherry, Jun 22 (UNI) A youth has been arrested on charges of selling banned lottery tickets here, police informed on Saturday.

According to police, on a tip off on Friday evening, Lawspet police rushed to Gandhi Nagar and found one person standing in a suspicious circumstance. On searching him, police seized lottery tickets, a cell phone and Rs 9,180 in cash.

The youth identified as Bhaskaran.

He was produced before the court here and lodged at the central prison.

The accused informed that he used to get lottery tickets from one Chandru, who is at large, police added.
