Lucknow/UNI: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the people of the state for maintaining peace and harmony after the crucial Ayodhya judgement by the Supreme Court on Saturday.

The CM, while interacting with his colleagues in the state cabinet meeting here on Monday, said the people of the state should be appreciated for their contribution to maintain law and order in wake of the Ayodhya verdict.

The Cabinet ministers also lauded the role of the CM for taking pains to monitor the law and order and himself took all efforts to keep a tab on the situation on Saturday, state government spokesperson and power minister Srikant Sharma said here.

Sharma said some of the ministers also spoke on the issue and appreciated how the CM himself went to the police control room in Lucknow to take the stock of the situation.

The government held its first programme as the state cabinet meeting after the Ayodhya verdict was pronounced.
