West Bengal's COVID-19 cases reach 2173 including 126 deaths

Kolkata/IBNS: West Bengal continues to witness an upward trend in the number of positive cases of Coronavirus with 110 fresh infections reported on Tuesday, taking the total tally to 2173.

The state reported eight deaths in the last 24 hours leading to a whopping death toll of 126 in the state. At least 72 deaths have been registered due to comorbidity, an official bulletin by the government stated.

The recovery rate in the state is 28.16 per cent with 1363 active cases and 612 discharged patients.

Bengal has tested 52622 samples so far, with 5007 tests in last 24hrs, the bulletin confirmed.

Presently, 6978 persons are kept in government quarantine centres across West Bengal while 24,296 people are under home surveillance in the state, the official bulletin stated.
