West Bengal: Six killed in bus accident in Murshidabad

Kolkata/UNI: At least six people were killed and ten others were injured, some of them seriously, when a passenger bus carrying them collided head-on with an oil tanker near Farakka in Murshidabad district early hours today.

Official sources said the bus was en route to Baharampur from Malda.


The deceased included drivers of both vehicles.


Police said the injured were rushed to the hospital, where the condition of some was stated to be critical.


The passengers were mostly asleep when the accident took place, police added.
