West Bengal Petroleum Dealers Association announces their indefinite 'no-purchase' agitation from tomorrow
The indefinite ‘no-purchase’ agitation at the three terminals - at Mourigram, Budge Budge and Haldia would render a sizeable section of West Bengal and Kolkata dry in the coming days unless an amicable solution is arrived at.
"We are forced to take up this stand as we have been facing terminal and supply related issues, rude behavior of Oil Company officials with the dealers, violation of Government orders by the Oil Company officials and Law and order problems at petrol pumps," said Saradindu Pal, General Secretary, West Bengal Petroleum Dealers Association (WBPDA).
“Today we made a peaceful demonstration in front of the IOC gates and gave a memorandum stating our concern. We are really hopeful that the concerned authorities will sit up and take notice and we can continue to serve the people without harassments" he added.
