West Bengal govt has not denied permission to BJP's Rath Yatra: Trinamool Congress
Kolkata/IBNS: Countering the saffron party's claim, the ruling Trinamool Congress on Friday said the state government has not denied any permission to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Rath Yatra.
The Trinamool has put out a series of tweets which read, "GoWB has not denied permission to any Yatra, as claimed by Bengal BJP. They are indulging in malicious propaganda with neither substance nor truth.
"BJP must show material evidence of GoWB denying permission to their Yatra. This is BJP’s attempt to claim victimhood."

A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed before the Calcutta High Court against BJP's proposed 'Parivartan Rath Yatra'.
Citing a possibility of law-and-order disruption during the Rath Yatra, Kolkata based lawyer, Ramaprasad Roy, filed the PIL which is likely to be heard on Thursday.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president J.P. Nadda would be launching five mega 'Parivartan Rath Yatras' across poll-bound West Bengal starting from Saturday.
A similar rath yatra of the BJP was not allowed by the court back in 2019.
