West Bengal Assembly polls: Mamata Banerjee unveils TMC's manifesto
Kolkata: West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress on Wednesday unveiled its election manifesto, just days ahead of the first phase of the voting in the crucial assembly elections.
"We will ensure minimum annual income of Rs 6,000 and Rs 12,000 for general category and backward community people respectively in Bengal," CM Mamata Banerjee said.
She said 10 lakh MSME units will be set up in Bengal.
Banerjee said five lakh job opportunities will be created in the state every year.
She described the manifesto as 'development oriented'.

She said free ration will be provided at the doorstep of people.
BJP leader Samik Bhattacharya slammed the TMC manifesto and said the government is engaging in 'dole giving' politics.
"The manifesto is not promising anything new to people," he said.
"It is failing to show any way to the people," he said.
The high-voltage Assembly polls in West Bengal will be held in eight phases from March 27 to April 29.
The counting of votes will take place on May 2.
