Pune/IBNS/UNI: A Pune-based resident running a website has claimed to have received a message threatening to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi and triggering bomb blasts in several places in India, police said on Wednesday.

Pune Police have registered a case and started an investigation into the matter following the allegation levelled by the website's owner Rahul Dudhane.

According to the police, one MA Mokheem allegedly sent the message from abroad on the website.

The threat message on the website said: "I am funding many terrorist organisations."

After Dudhane informed the control room of Pune City Police, a case was registered against MA Mokheem at Alankar police station.

Police are now probing the message on the website to find out its authenticity.

The information about this message has also been passed on to other security agencies of the country, said a police officer.
