We must delink religion from terror: Swaraj

Manama, Jan 24 (IBNS): Attending the ministerial-level meeting of the India-Arab Partnership Conference, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Sunday said terrorism should be delinked from religion.

"The forces of terrorism and violent extremism are seeking to destabilise our societies," Swaraj said.

"Equally, we must delink religion from terror. The only distinction is between those who believe in humanity and those who do not," he said.

Swaraj said the Indian government is paying special attention to ties with the Arab world since coming to power in 2014.
