WB: Tourist dies in parasailing accident

Kolkata, Jun 21 (IBNS): One tourist died after colliding with an electric post while parasailing at Mandarmani beach in East Midnapore district of West Bengal on Sunday.

According to reports, the tourist was identified as Tarun Ghosh (38). He was a resident of Murshidabad district in West Begal.

Superintended of Police of East Midnapore, Alok Rajoria told IBNS, "Tarun Ghosh was parasailing in a very bad weather, after taking off, he lost his control and collided with an electric pillar beside the beach."

After the accident, Tarun Ghosh was immediately taken to Kanthi Sub-Divisional Hospital with serious head injury. Then he was referred to Kolkata.

He passed away on his way to Kolkata.

The police have started investigation into the matter.
