Was impressed with Modi's economic policies: Bill Clinton
New Delhi, July 16 (IBNS): Former United States President Bill Clinton, who is in India, on Wednesday said he is "impressed" with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's economic policies.
"I was impressed with Modi's economic policies," Clinton said in an interview to NDTV channel.
"Leave Gujarat sectarian violence in the past," he said.
He said that everybody thinks Modi has potential to make a difference.
"Modi may be sending the message that he wants to govern for everybody," he told the channel.
Clinton added that Modi's decision to invite Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to his swearing-in ceremony may have also been a signal to Muslims in India as well that he wants to govern for all.
He said he has followed Modi's career since he was Gujarat's Chief Minister.
