Vijay Diwas: PM Modi remembers valour of Indian Armed forces

New Delhi, Dec 16 (IBNS): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday remembered sacrifices and valour of the Indian Armed Forces, who had courageously fought in 1971 war, on the occasion of Vijay Diwas.

"On Vijay Diwas, we remember sacrifices and valour of our Armed Forces who fought courageously in 1971. We are extremely proud of them", the Prime Minister said.

Vijay Diwas marks its military victory over Pakistan in 1971 during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, who were alliance of Bangladesh Mukti Bahini .

The end of the war also resulted in the unilateral and unconditional surrender of the Pakistan Army and subsequent secession of East Pakistan into Bangladesh.
