Veteran RSP leader Kshiti Goswami passes away

Kolkata/UNI: Veteran Left front leader and National General Secretary of Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) Kshiti Goswami breathed his last on Sunday.

He was suffering from old-age-related illness and was admitted at a private hospital in Chennai on Sunday. He was 77.

He is survived by his wife and daughter.

The veteran leader worked as the Public Works (PWD) Department Minister during the tenure of Left-front in West Bengal.

The Central Committee of Revolutionary Socialist Party regretted the death of Kshiti Goswami.

In a statement statement, the party wrote: "The Central Committee of the Revolutionary Socialist Party announces with deep regret and sorrow that the General Secretary of the Party Comrade Kshiti Goswami has expired at the Apollo Hospital ,Chennai on 24th. November2019 early morning at about 4AM. His sudden demise following a brief illness is a rude shock not only to our party but the extended leftist and left leaning and democratic political parties and imdividuals or groups."

"Kshiti Goswami was close to many due to his very modest approach to all cutting across the polical affiliations His absence has created a tremrmdous void to the left democratic. struggle of the toiling masses of the country. We dip our red flag," the party noted.
