Firozabad: Six passengers were injured when a private sleeper bus collided with a truck in the Nasirpur area of Firozabad district here in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, a police officer said.

Circle Officer (CO) Praveen Kumar Tiwari said that the incident took place on the Agra-Lucknow expressway when a Kanpur bound private sleeper bus from Delhi collided with the truck. "It is being suspected that the incident took place as the bus driver dozed off," he said.

He said that after getting the information, the local police, along with the relief team of UPEIDA, reached the spot and took the passengers out of the bus.

"A total of 50 passengers were travelling in the bus at the time of the incident, of whom six sustained serious injuries," he said.

The CO said that the injured passengers have been admitted to Saifai Medical College.
