Uttar Pradesh: Mother-son duo mowed down by truck in Bareilly

Bareilly: A woman and her son were mowed down when a motorcycle was hit by a truck in Fatehganj Pashchimi area of Bareilly district here in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, a police officer said here.

Superintendent of Police (City) Rahul Bhati said that the incident took place when Manoj Kumar (22), a resident of Kulcha Gotia, along with his mother Nando Devi (49) was going to meet their relative in Bisharatganj.

He said that while crossing the road in CB Ganj the motorcycle was hit by the truck and the mother-son duo were stuck under the wheels of the vehicle.

"The truck dragged Manoj and Nando for around 100 meters killing them on the spot. The truck has been impounded and its driver has been detained," he said.
