Uttar Pradesh: Mother-son die under suspicious circumstances

Jaunpur/ UNI: A mother and his son died under mysterious circumstances in the Madiyahun area of this district in Uttar Pradesh, police said on Saturday

According to the police, Kevla Devi (80), a resident of Sudnipur village in the Madiyahun area used to live with her son Lal Sahab Maurya (40). Both the mother and son slept after consuming food on Friday night but after some time, their health started deteriorating.


They were rushed to the Madiyahun CHC where both of them succumbed while receiving treatment.


In his complaint to the police, Lal Sahab Maurya's uncle Ajay Maurya has said that the duo committed suicide after consuming a pesticide.


Further action will be initiated after the arrival of the post-mortem report.
