Uttar Pradesh: Five peddlers held, liquor worth 3 lakhs seized

Baghpat, Mar 30 (UNI) Five peddlers were arrested and liquor worth Rs 3 lakhs recovered from their possession from various police station areas in this district of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Saturday.

Additional Superintendent of Police Ranvijay Singh here said that Deepak, a resident of Katwada police station area, Kuldeep, a resident of Sonepat (Haryana), Gaurav, Qasim and Balveer Singh were arrested during a special check conducted in Baraut, Khekra, Binauli and Baghpat Kotwali area.

 

Singh said that 140 bottles of foreign liquor, one car, one 'tamancha' and two cartridges were recovered from their possession.


A case was registered against all the accused under the concerned sections and were later sent to jail.
