Uttar Pradesh: Body of missing boy recovered, 2 arrested

Deoria: Body of a missing boy was recovered from Ekauna area of Deoria district here in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday after which his uncle and cousin were arrested by the police, a senior officer said here.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Sankalp Sharma said Roshan Yadav (13) son of Ram Murat Yadav, a resident of Bakaruan village, went missing from his home on February 1.

"A case was lodged on the basis of the complaint given by Ram Murat and the matter was being investigated by the police," he said.

He said on suspicion when Roshan's uncle Saudagar Yadav and his cousin Dharmendra were taken into custody and quizzed they admitted of murder.

"On the identification of Saudagar, Roshan's body was recovered from bushes near a river in Nagwan village on Saturday morning," he said.

The SP said the body has been sent for post mortem and the matter is being investigated further.
