UP: Constable throws girl off roof of police station
Badaun, Jan 18 (IBNS): A constable has been arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district after he was accused of throwing off a teenager girl from the roof of a police station following his attempt to rape her, media reports said.
The victim herself levelled the allegations against the constable.
The girl, who is a Class 12 student, has sustained serious injuries on her head and back and fractures in her pelvic bone.
She is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bareilly.
"The incident occurred on January 15 at the Ujhani police station. The mother of the teen alleged that the accused, Gaurav Tytler had called her daughter - who had left home for tuition in the evening - to the police station where he is posted," NDTV channel reported.
Based on preliminary enquiry, the police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the constable,with charges of attempt to murder.
