UP: 3 coaches of Janta Express train derail in Raebareli, 6 killed

Rae Bareli, Mar 20 (IBNS): At least six people are feared killed as three coaches of the Janta Express train 1422 derailed at Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, reports said.

The train accident has also left about 40 people injured.

The Janta Express train runs between Dehradoon and Banaras and the accident reportedly occurred  near 133 kilometres from Lucknow.

"One engine and 2 coaches have been derailed. 40 people are reportedly injured and there may be some more casualties. Senior officials are already present at the spot," Neeraj Sharma, CPRO Northern Railways told media.
