UP: 25 children injured as school bus overturns in Auraiya

Auraiya: About 25 children were injured when a school bus overturned in the Phaphund area of Auraiya district in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, police sources said here.

Police sources said that the incident took place when the bus from Marshall Herald Public School in Achhalda town of the district was going to pick up the children in the morning.

"When the bus reached Bhainsol, it overturned into the field. After hearing the cries of the children, the locals rushed to the spot and rescued them," they said.

Police sources said that they reached the spot after being informed by the villagers.

"The family members of the children were informed. The children injured in the accident were given first aid and sent home with their families," they said.
