Union Minster Kalraj Mishra inaugurates MSME Expo

New Delhi, Nov 14 (IBNS): Union Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Kalraj Mishra inaugurated MSME Expo-2014 here on Friday.
The main theme of this year is Design Intervention in MSME sector through Design Clinic scheme. More than 54 participants/entrepreneurs including 34 Women, from all over India are participating in the MSME Expo-2014 and exhibiting their products in more than 89 stalls. 
 
Out of 54 entrepreneurs 04 are from NER and 03 are from SC/ST. The SMEs from all over India are participating to demonstrate their quality products, skill & traditional art work of India. 
 
The uniqueness of this year MSME Expo is that visitors will have the chance to see the product from states like Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan etc. 
 
The Office of the DC (MSME) is facilitating the exhibitors to promote their products by providing them with subsidized stalls. 
 
The products range varies from technical products requiring high precision manufacturing to products which manifests India’s strength in traditional knowledge of ayurveda & artwork. 
 
Special category entrepreneurs have been encouraged through enhanced subsidy. 
 
The objective of this exhibition is to recognize the strength of India’s Micro and Small-Scale unit by showcasing the technology adopted by them in manufacturing products and also to provide a suitable platform at reasonable cost to develop a platform for future trade & business not only domestically but globally. 
 
Kalraj Mishra also inaugurated to KVIC Pavilion at Pragati Maidan. 
 
KVIC has been participating in the IITF organized by India Trade Promotion Organisation for the last two decades. 
 
The theme of this year’s fair is “Women Entrepreneurs”.
 
On the occasion the Minister also released a book titled celebrating the spirit of “Women Entrepreneurs”.
