Two soldiers killed in ongoing Operation Akhal in Jammu and Kashmir

At least two Indian soldiers were killed in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam on Saturday.

The soldiers were killed on the ninth day of Operation Akhal, officials told India Today.

Four Indian security personnel were also injured in the incident.

The two deceased Indian soldiers were identified as Pritpal Singh and Harminder Singh.

Chinar Corps wrote on X: " Chinar Corps honours the supreme sacrifice of the Bravehearts, L/Nk Pritpal Singh and Sep Harminder Singh, in line of duty for the Nation. Their courage and dedication will forever inspire us."

" #IndianArmy expresses deepest condolences and stand in solidarity with the bereaved families" the X post further said.

The operation is currently ongoing.
