Two injured in blast while making country bomb in Tamil Nadu

Virudhunagar, Sep 4 (UNI) Two people sustained grievous injuries after a country bomb, they were allegedly making, went off at Nandireddiyapatti village here on Wednesday, police said.

The injured identified as Palani and Pothuraj, were admitted to the government hospital with critical injuries.

Tamil Nadu Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) sleuths examined the spot and found explosive substances meant for making country bombs.

A case has been registered under the explosive substances act against them duo for illegal possession and handling of explosive substances.

Further investigations were underway, police added.
